In our Farm Shop all produce is sourced as locally as possible. The emphasis is on quality and personal service and we aim to fulfil the needs of all our customers. There are seven departments|:

• Butchery
• Bakery
• Greengrocery/Gifts/ Wines/Fish
• Deli including Party Platters and Ready Meals
• Hot Food Counter
• Sandwich Bar
• Flowers

Butchery. Four truly experienced butchers, Mike, Peter, Tony and Mark, will serve you the finest British beef, lamb, pork, poultry and game. Not only will they cut and prepare meat to your specification, they can give cooking advice and menu suggestions for when you're entertaining. In summer Becketts is the place for barbecue meat with all packs made to individual specification.

A bespoke service is offered every time to every customer.

Bakery. Bread is freshly baked, from basic ingredients, seven days a week. No other bakery for at least 50 miles around offers such a service. Many different types of bread are on offer besides a wide selection of cakes and pastries which are produced fresh every day. New lines are frequently introduced and, if you don't see exactly what you would like, let our sales team know and they will endeavour to oblige.

Celebration cakes, individually designed and made to mark any and every occasion you wish to celebrate, have always been a speciality.

Greengrocery. This used to be just "Eggs & Veg" but has expanded tremendously from the original concept. John and his team will serve you from over fifty baskets of farm fresh vegetables, and a variety of eggs and potatoes are laid out on old fashioned "carts". A fresh fish counter has now been added. Preserves, pickles, sauces, local honeys plus high quality pulses and cereals are offered. English wines are proving exceptionally popular along with liquors, liqueurs, herbal and fruit teas.

The gifts range is much enlarged and there's a space for elegant and tasteful jewellery plus a range of greetings cards and wrapping paper with a country/animals theme. Gift hampers can always be assembled to your personal specification at any time of the year (please see www.beckettshampers.co.uk) to include goods stocked anywhere in the shop. It's the perfect place for gift shopping!

Deli. We are famous for having no fewer than 130 different cheeses on the Deli counter. But there's also a fine selection of cooked meats, salami and fish together with homemade quiches and pork pies. Far Eastern flavours are very popular with our customers and we're now stocking an Indian range. If you wish to produce and cook your own Indian curry we've a range of curry sauces complete with recipe leaflet We are also offering ready prepared meals, fresh each day from our Orange Kitchen.

Our Party Platters are much in demand too. These are trays with a mixed selection of "bites" - ideal for party days or meetings - choose from sandwiches, salads, fruit, cold meats, cheeses, cake and fancies. These are specially prepared to order - see full details of the range by clicking here.

Hot Food Counter. This is where we really help the busy housewife, the traveller passing by and the just-plain-hungry! You can take a quick, hot snack - say sausage, bacon, pork, steak or chicken in a bap. You may prefer a cup of hot homemade soup. Or should you wish to take away a complete meal for the evening choose from spit roasted chicken, curries, chilli, minted lamb, Chinese spare ribs, roast leg of pork with crackling, traditional beef stew or "Becketts" faggots. Sandwich Bar. Under Rachel we claim to offer the most bespoke sandwich service in the business. Sandwiches are made to your specification while you wait. There is a huge choice: first select between several types of bread; then between a sandwich, roll or baguette; specify the type of spread; then indicate which of the over-forty different fillings you would like, and finally which relish or garnish.

Flowers. Carole from Arts and Flowers has a stylish and colourful flower stall in our Shop, adding to the general attractiveness of the new premises.
