Becketts Farm Welcomes the Dementia Community Roadshow on Friday 1st September 10am - 4pm.

There are currently around 850,000 people in the UK with dementia, it mainly affects people over the age of 65 however, dementia is not a natural part of ageing and doesn’t just effect the older generation. In fact over 40,000 people under 65 in the UK have dementia and this is called early on-set or young on-set dementia.

There are many signs to look out for when people have dementia including memory loss, difficulty with planning, thinking things through, struggling to keep up with conversation and changes in mood or behaviour.

Are you worried about your memory or about someone else? Would you like some advice and support with what to do next?

Do you have a family member or friend that has been diagnosed with Dementia and you are looking for some friendly support?

Would you like to find out more information on how you could volunteer or support the Alzheimer’s society?

Pop by to the Dementia Community Roadshow on Friday 1st September and have a chat with us!

In effort to make the business a more Dementia Friendly place to visit, Becketts Farm staff members will be undertaking training to improve their own awareness. We hope to see you at the roadshow!
