As we celebrate National Picnic Week (14th to 21st June), it’s the ideal time to gather your favourite people, roll out a blanket and tuck into some delicious food! Whether you’re heading to the park, countryside or even just your back garden, we have everything you need to create a picnic to remember.

A taste of Becketts Farm

Our Farm Shop is packed full of picnic-worthy treats, freshly prepared and ready to go. Take the stress out of planning and pop in for one of our ready-made Ploughman’s Picnic Boxes – filled with cheese, savoury pastries, pickle and crackers. They’re ideal for a fuss-free lunch on the go.

Fancy something more bespoke? Our Sandwich Bar team are on hand to make your sarnies just how you like them! Choose from our range of freshly baked bread, rolls and baguettes and mix n’ match from a choice of over 24 fillings!

If traditional picnic food isn’t for you, why not order one of our takeaway afternoon tea boxes from our Restaurant? Each box is filled with finger sandwiches, cakes and a freshly baked scone with jam and cream and comes with a freshly prepared drink. At £15 per person, they make a lovely afternoon treat. A pre-order is essential for takeaway afternoon tea boxes, with 24 hours’ notice where possible.

Build your own picnic feast

If you’d rather put together your own spread, you’ll find no shortage of inspiration in the Farm Shop.

Savoury bites: Our Deli counter is filled with a sea of golden pastry – pork pies, sausage rolls, Scotch eggs and homemade quiches are the perfect finger foods to add to your basket.

Cheese and crackers: Browse our fantastic range of cheeses and pair your favourites with some artisan crackers and a dollop of chutney.
Our favourite combination is a chunk of Worcestershire Gold paired with Mrs Darlington’s Caramelised Onion Chutney!

Fresh fruit and vegetables: Don’t forget to add a pop of colour! The healthier options are important too- you’ll find juicy strawberries, locally grown tomatoes, crisp apples and more at our Greengrocers.

Sweet treats: No picnic is complete without cake in our opinion! You’ll be spoilt for choice at our Bakery – brownies, flapjacks, shortbread and luxury cupcakes are always a winner. Or, if you’d like something to share, our farmhouse cakes and traybakes are a great option.

Drinks: After all that food, you’ll be sure to need something to wash it all down! There’s over 100 different beers, ales and ciders stocked in our Farm Shop, ideal for the grown ups! And for the little ones there’s a great selection of soft drinks including the award-winning Pershore juices.

Top tips for the perfect picnic!

Keep it cool! Use an insulated bag or cool box to keep your food and drink cold and fresh, especially on a warmer day
Bring a blanket… something comfy to sit on makes all the difference!
Don’t forget the extras: Napkins, cups, a rubbish bag and maybe a flask of tea for later on!
