At Becketts Farm, giving back to the local community is something we are committed to each year. Whether it’s supporting local fundraising for charities close to people’s hearts, donating fresh produce to community groups or offering sponsorship, we are proud to be able to help those most local to us and are always so pleased to hear your grand totals!
We are always overwhelmed by the generosity of our customers, staff and visitors when running our own fundraising campaigns too, so THANK YOU for all your support.
Read below our fundraising highlights from the past year.
Becketts Farm Community Scheme
Each year, our Community Token Scheme supports 12 local organisations and initiatives. Customers of our Farm Shop are able to place a vote for one of the featured organisations, with 3 local groups featured each quarter. At the end of each quarter, money from carrier bag sales is collated and split between the three organisations based on the number of tokens received, meaning everyone receives something!
Thanks to your involvement, in 2025, we donated more than £6600 between the 12 charities featured. Charities and groups supported include St Laurence Church Junior School, 198th St Nicolas Scout Group, citiSEN4u, West Heath Community Centre and more!
Pictured here is a fantastic outdoor classroom built at St Laurence Church Junior School. The donation received from our community scheme helped them reach their target and is a great asset to the school.
If you’re part of a local charity or community group that could benefit from this scheme, please submit an application online here.
Sunflower Appeal
Our much-loved sunflower fields opened once again over the summer, providing a free, picturesque space for families, friends and visitors to enjoy. More importantly, we were raising money for Help Harry Help Others, a local, Birmingham-based charity that provides support to individuals and their families that are affected by cancer.
The charity was founded in memory of Harry Moseley, a young boy who tragically passed away from a brain tumour in 2011. Harry dedicated his time to raising money for cancer research by making and selling bracelets.
The charity continues Harry’s legacy by supporting people affected by cancer through three main areas: cancer research, cancer support, and awareness. The dedicated team operates a drop-in cancer support centre in Birmingham, offering practical, financial and emotional help to patients and families, including counselling, therapies, legal advice and more – all under one roof and free of charge. Support is available for anyone, of any age, going through any type of cancer.
Your donations helped us raise just over £2600 for this fantastic charity, with the funds going towards vital support services and activities for those in need.
Raffle Prizes and Sponsorships
Throughout the year, we’ve contributed to various raffles and community events by supplying
gift vouchers and luxury gift hampers as prizes. In total, we’ve supplied just over £5000 worth of prizes and there’s been some very impressive totals raised.
We also proudly sponsored Earlswood Town FC, Kings Heath Horse Show, Wythall YFC Annual Ploughing Match and Wythall Winter Wonderland.
Produce Donations
Sharing good food is a part of who we are, and we’ve continued to offer donations of fresh produce to local community groups and events across the year. We’ve donated fresh cakes to various bake sales and regularly donate bread to the Memory Café in Wythall towards their lunch events. In addition to this, we’ve donated 500 eggs to Birmingham Christmas Shelter, mince pies to Acorns Children’s Hospice “Celebrate your Star” events and over 400 bread rolls to Wythall Fun Run to use at their BBQ.
On-site events
Each year, we host a Macmillan Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. We donate
£1 from every tea or coffee sold on the day and have some yummy, themed treats available too! In 2025, we raised a superb £392.50 for this brilliant cause.
Our team also take part in Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children whereby we donated £77 to the charity.
St Basils
We continue to support St Basils homelessness charity with our donations collection point, located by our Farm Shop tills. The charity supports hundreds of young people who are or at risk of homelessness by providing vital support services and accommodation. The donations we collect are distributed to the local accommodation points in Redditch and Birmingham. The team and young people they support are always overwhelmed with the donations we are able to collect.
If you’d like to make a donation, our drop-off point is open all year round. We collect long-life food, toiletries, mother and baby items. All items must be NEW, UNOPENED AND UNUSED.
Click here to find out more about our collection point and the work of St Basils.
We know that none of this is possible without your support, so thank you! Every contribution from our customers helps to make a real difference to local charities and community projects. We are incredibly proud to be part of the Wythall community and to be able to donate to local causes where possible.
For any charity requests, please send a formal request for our team to consider via email – info@beckettsfarm.co.uk and we will endeavour to help where possible.
