Merry Christmas!24-12-2011 12:15:00What a fantastic few weeks we have had leading up to Christmas this year. We have been looking after S Thank you to everyone that joined us for the informal Carol singing and a special thank you to Aimee and Sophie who did a fantastic job of conducting and taught me something new - the additional lyrics to Rudolph the red nosed reindeer - I have included for you below! Congratulations to Kian Powers on winning the children's Christmas Poetry competition with a huge 431 votes! Thank you to all the children that took part, there were some great entries and it was clear that they had put a lot of effort into their poems. I hope that you all enjoy your Christmas dinner, espesially those that treated themselves to the local delights from the farm shop and more importantly enjoy the time with you your family. Thank you to everyone who supports and enjoys Becketts and I look forward to seeing you in 2012! Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to all!! Simon Beckett 4th Generation farmer in Wythall Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer - (With Additional Lyrics in Brackets) Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer (reindeer) Had a very shiny nose (like a light bulb) And if you ever saw it (saw it) You would even say it glows (like a flash light) All of the other reindeer (reindeer) Used to laugh and call him names (like Pinochio) They never let poor Rudolph (Rudolph) Play in any reindeer games (like Monopoly) Then one foggy Christmas Eve Santa came to say (Ho Ho Ho) Rudolph with your nose so bright Won't you guide my sleigh tonight? Then all the reindeer loved him (loved him) And they shouted out with glee (yippee) "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer (reindeer) You'll go down in history!" (like Columbus)
