We are celebrating British Sandwich Week between 18th and 24th May 2026.
Sandwiches are quite the British tradition – simple, satisfying and endlessly adaptable depending on what you fancy! The first sandwich is linked back to John Montagu, the Earl of Sandwich, who is said to have created the concept in the 1700s as a quick, informal bite to eat and they’ve spread to become a firm favourite ever since!

That’s exactly what you’ll find at the Sandwich Bar in our Farm Shop. Everything is made fresh to order, so you know your lunch is being made with care. The counter is stocked with freshly baked bread from our Bakery counter each morning and the team prepares over 30 different fillings for you to choose from. Not to forget the range of fresh salad and sauces that bring it all together! Can’t decide what to order? Our friendly team of expert sandwich makers are always happy to share some inspiration to create your perfect lunch.

Filling of choice: Egg mayo and cress

When I’m not making sandwiches, you’ll find me… at the Blues!
Fun fact: At work, you’ll often see me singing and dancing with the customers!
