This Christmas, staying in is the new going out, so have a look at our Christmas Top 10 of activities to enjoy with the little ones this festive season. From baking at home to local walks, there is still lots to enjoy this Christmas.

Donate to Charity – This year more so than ever, charities across the country are asking for donations. If you need a clear out before Santa arrives then why not get the kids involved by picking a few items that can be donated to a toy bank or donate some food to help those less fortunate at this time of year. We have a collection point here for St Basils Homelessness Charity which are in great need of long life foods, toiletries and much more. See the full list of items needed here.

Santa Sleigh – It’s not too late to see Santa! Solihull Round Table are firing up their Santa sleigh once again this year. If you live on one of the many routes they are doing, then wrap up warm and stand outside your front door and wait for Santa to give you a little wave. Festive Afternoon Tea – Our Restaurant have given their afternoon teas a festive twist and you can order your takeaway cream tea online here. So why not pick one up before the school run and have a delicious festive treat waiting at home for you all to enjoy together!

National Trust – The National Trust have created a Peter Rabbit winter trail at many of their parklands which the whole family will enjoy. Get closer to nature and use your detective skills to help out your favourite Beatrix Potter characters. Pick up your activity pack on arrival and set off on your adventure. Booking ahead is highly recommended and you can find your nearest trail here.

Santa Letters – Have you seen our very own post box situated near our Coffee shop? Why not download our FREE Santa letter template and let the kids make their wish lists before it’s to late. Post them to the North Pole in time for Christmas. Keep an eye on your inbox for a direct reply from Santa himself.

Woods Farm Christmas Trees – Have you seen our Christmas Tree that stands tall outside of our Farm Shop entrance? Supplied by Woods Farm our tree really is the festive welcome you need this Christmas time. Wrap up warm and go and have a look around the Christmas trees in Shirley, you might even spot some reindeers!

Christmas Cards – There are some lovely packs of Christmas cards that are available to buy in our Farm Shop. Many of which are for charity so pick up a pack and the little ones can write their class friends a lovely Christmas wish.

Christmas Films – Now every house has their own favourite Christmas film, what is it in your house? Spend a little down time enjoying the cosy fire, warm hot chocolates and Christmas lights whilst watching your favourite film. For something different how about purchasing a hot chocolate stick. A fun and delicious treat for the kids.

Christmas Jumpers –  Everybody loves a Christmas jumper! Dig out last years jumpers and where them in the lead up to Christmas! Whether it’s for ‘Save the Children’s’ Christmas Jumper day to raise money or simply to bring a smile to someone’s face. Christmas jumpers make everybody happy!
