Pancake day is just around the corner on the 13^th February, and we are SO flipping excited!

Stop by our Farm Shop for all the inspiration and ingredients you’ll need to add flavoursome toppings to your pancakes.

Fruity Favourites

You’ll find lots of fruit to top your pancakes at our Greengrocers counter. Whether you like freshly squeezed lemon, mixed berries, or banana, you’ll find your fruity favourites here. Want something seasonal? We have English apples and pears which you could make into a delicious compote by simmering with sugar and winter spices.

Local Dairy Ice Cream

If thick, fluffy, American-style pancakes are your favourite, you’ll probably want a scoop of ice cream! We stock a range of ice creams from Bennetts Dairy Farm, a Worcestershire family farm through and through.

Why not try your pancakes topped with their rich, Dark Chocolate Ice Cream, some freshly whipped cream AND Opies Forest Fruits with Luxardo Gin, for a decadent take on Black Forest!

Or, opt for their Honey & Ginger Ice Cream, topped with a drizzle of Solihull Apiaries Honey and some chopped nuts. Sublime!

Savoury Pancakes

Make your pancakes the star of the show and enjoy savoury pancakes as a main meal this Shrove Tuesday! Take inspiration from French creperies and top with ham, cheese, sauteed mushrooms, onions, spinach (to give just a few ideas!). Alternatively, why not replicate our Restaurant’s Breakfast Pancake Stack at home, by layering your pancakes with bacon, sausages and egg! Our Butchers will help you decide which of our speciality sausages to choose.

Tipsy Toppings

With Dry January far behind us now, perhaps you’ll be inclined to try a ‘tipsy’ topping on your pancake. We really like the Boozy Berry Preserve from The Bay Tree.

Love lemon pancakes? A swirl of Mrs Darlington’s Lemon Curd with Gin perfectly pairs with traditional pancakes. Don’t mind if we do!

Jams & Curds, Sauces & Spreads

We stock over 50 different types of jam, curd and marmalade! You’re sure to find a new breakfast favourite this pancake day.

Also, not to be missed are peanut butters from Proper Nutty, which boast zero sugar, zero plastic and zero palm oil! Or, the delicious range of zero sugar chocolate spreads from JimJams. However, be warned… we think the Chocolate Hazelnut variety is addictive!
