British Food Fortnight 2024

British Food Fortnight takes place this year between the 20th September and 6th October 2024. It’s a fortnight to celebrate all that is great about British produce and producers – and that’s something we’re always championing here at Becketts, whatever week of the year!

Choosing British food means enjoying the diverse and delicious food that our varied landscapes and climate produces. Its a way to keep tradition and heritage alive with favourite foods that have passed through the generations – Cheddar cheese, Cumberland sausages, Cornish pasties, the Brummie balti, Welsh lamb, Evesham asparagus, even the deep fried mars bar of Scottish acclaim! Through buying British, you are supporting farmers who maintain our beautiful countryside. And, food on our doorstep travels fewer miles – great news for our planet. You’ll find plenty of inspiration on how to make the most of British ingredients found in our Farm Shop in our latest blog post.

To celebrate this fantastic fortnight, we’re giving away the ingredients to create a delicious family meal for four this British Food Fortnight. This British hamper includes a family pie, seasonal vegetables, delicious steamed puddings, cheese and biscuits, plus locally-produced wine and more.
