It’s that time of year again! Here at Becketts Farm we hope to get everyone involved in our annual Great Becketts Bake Off, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Help us beat last years’ fundraising total of a whopping £421.30.

There are over 200 types of cancer which affect hundreds of thousands of people all over the world. Macmillan provides medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care. And because cancer affects more than just those facing it, they are there for friends and family too.

Join us for the Great Becketts Bake Off

27th September, from 11am

If you are a keen baker and want to help save lives in the process, enter The Great Becketts Bake Off this year! There is a suggested donation of £2 to enter a cake/bake and all proceeds go straight to Macmillan.

The prize for star baker will be a gift voucher for an Afternoon Tea for Two at Becketts Farm.

Cakes should be brought to the Restaurant on Friday 27th September by 11.00am, ready for judging to take place at 11:15am. The cakes will then be sold by the slice to raise even more money for this amazing cause. Your tasty cakes will be judged by three members of the Becketts Farm Restaurant Team – how lucky!

Last year’s winner, Chloe who works in the Accounts Department at Becketts Farm created delicious Lindt Chocolate Brownies. These went down a treat with our judges.  Becketts Farm customers were wowed by the taste, gooey-ness and presentation of the winning brownies. Shhhh… Chloe’s hinted at the recipe she followed (and tweaked slightly) to make these yummy treats. Click here for the recipe, simply press 9 lindt truffles into the tin before baking to take these brownies up a level.

Becketts Farm Restaurant are committed to giving £1 from every cup of tea and coffee sold on 27^th September directly to Macmillan. So do come along for a cuppa and a spectacularly show-stopping slice of cake!
