At Becketts Farm we are always striving to reduce food miles and support local suppliers. This British food fortnight we are celebrating all that is local and British. With the exception of some speciality ingredients, fruit and vegetables our Farm Shop is packed to the rafters with fantastic British products and producers. Here are 16 of some of our favourite British suppliers.
Becketts Farm Honey
We produce our honey on Lyndons Farm in Earlswood. Bees will travel up to two miles from the hive, which means if you see a bee flying around Becketts Farm Shop they’re probably working with us. All the honey is small batch and can be found in our Farm Shop, but bee quick because when it’s gone its gone.
Sadler’s Beer
Sadler’s have been established brewers since 1900, based in the heart of the ‘Black Country’ and produce award winning craft beers along with a range of spirits. As a nod towards their strong black country roots, Sadler’s also produce a range of “Peaky Blinders” themed ales and sprits.

Shire Meadows Beef
Based in the Midlands, this beef comes only from sustainable sources and where animal welfare is a high priority. The UK Beef market in 2015 was worth £3.1 Billion*, and Shire Meadows are an excellent example of a company contributing to this key industry. The beef which they supply us is used in our Restaurant and Butchers and is farmed within a 50 mile radius.
Bennett and Dunn Rapeseed Oil
Bennett and Dunn Rapeseed oil, is a true British farm product. Rupert and Tracey Bennett produce the cold pressed rapeseed oil in Shropshire. The whole process is controlled by them from start to finish, from harvesting the seed to bottling it themselves. With health benefits over alternatives, try some for yourself today.

Sessions Sausages
Sessions of Worcestershire has been established for over 35 years and is a traditional third generation family run business specialising in the manufacture of sausage and catering butchery.
Sessions of Worcestershire was founded in 1978 by Stanley Sessions. Shortly after this he was joined by his son Graham. In 2011 Graham’s daughter Kate joined the company and today she continues to run the company with the same values as her granddad and father did.
In our farm shop we sell over 9 different flavoured sausages and our restaurant next door serves the sausages on award-winning breakfasts too.
Fowlers Cheese
Just around the corner from us in Earlswood is a family-run cheesemakers that has been in business since 1670. For over fourteen generations the Fowler family have been producing traditional cheeses. We stock a great range of their hard pressed cheeses, from mild to extra mature, flavoured cheeses and soft cheeses too.
A fantastic local product and one of the best British producers out there!

Flower and White Meringues
Flower and White are bakers of indulgence, creating and baking delicious treats to share with friends. Founded in their country home of Shropshire, baking gourmet meringues for all. Naturally gluten free, suitable for vegetarians and many flavours fat free. Why not try crumbling their strawberry flavour meringues in to a quintessentially British Eton Mess.

Caldecott’s Poultry
We source much of our poultry from the fantastic local farm, Caldecotts which is based in our very own village of Wythall. Robert Caldecott and his family are committed to high animal welfare standards and his chickens and turkeys are raised from a day old nurturing them to full maturity. The poultry are free range, enjoying clean bedding, fresh water, food and access to daylight at all times and no promoters or additives are used. As well as chicken and turkey all year round, we call on this supplier most in the festive months and every December Caldecotts supply us and our customers with hundreds of turkeys!
Happy Chucks Eggs
All of our eggs in the Farm Shop come from the same farm in Gloucestershire making Happy Chucks free range eggs are our next British Food Fortnight hero! We have a wide range of chicken’s eggs from this supplier, in medium, large, XL and double yolkers.
Croome Cuisine
Croome Cuisine is a local artisanal cheese producers based in Worcester, with over 25 years’ experience. Creating 18 delicious and individual cheeses along with 4 different relishes, there’s a cheeses for every occasion and taste. These award winning cheeses can be found at the Becketts Delicatessen, with favourites such as Hobson Ale & Wholegrain Mustard.

R & L Holt Tomatoes
We source our tomatoes from Evesham growers, R & L Holt. They are a family run tomato business which started growing tomatoes in the early 1980’s.They use some fascinating and sustainable methods of growing allowing them to produce tomatoes all year round! Our greengrocers really trust them to deliver quality produce to the Becketts Farm shelves, a fantastic British product.

Becketts Farm Bread
All the bread sold at Becketts Farm is produced in our own bakery onsite. The bakery produces a large range of breads and cakes using local ingredients. The bread at the Becketts Bakery is made fresh 6 days a week. With 12 different types of bread produced from the freshest British ingredients. The flour we use is locally produced in the Cotswolds. Our team of master bakers produce around 300 loaves per day.
Bearley Vineyard Wines
Bearley Vineyard is a local producer of fine English wines. Producing a range of five from a sparkling Brut to a dry red Claret. Based in Warwickshire and multi award winning, it’s very tempting to try these wines.

Tracklements Condiments
Tracklements are producers of delicious artisan condiments based in Wiltshire. With over 60 different condiments to choose from, you’re definitely not short on choice. A range of their sauces can be found in the Farm Shop, and go well with meats available from our butchers. Try their Special Edition Smoky Chilli Sauce on a British beef burger.

Pershore College Apple Juice
Pershore College press and produce a range of juices and ciders. Pershore College Enterprise started in 1993 with their 5 hectare orchard. The Pershore juicing enterprise now produces over 40,000 bottles of ‘Avonbank’ juice, cider and perry per year. Teaching traditional skills, this really is a great British producer.
